CreativeCommons.Asia offers a platform for communication and cooperation among Creative Commoners all across Asia, as well as a common portal to share local news and developments with the rest of the world. The site features the latest news, photos and other items of interest relevant to Creative Commons in the region. The future development of CreativeCommons.Asia is a joint project between Fabricatorz and CC affiliates from twelve jurisdictions, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
CreativeCommons.Asia was first initiated as part of the long-term vision shared by DotAsia and Creative Commons to promote Internet development and cross-cultural communication among organizations and communities in Asia. He went on to say that "the .Asia domain aspires to be a breeding ground for creativity and Internet development in Asia, and we are excited to be working with Creative Commons on furthering this mission."
