How will you interview and record women talking and performing on their racial identities at a free public event? Show Some Color 2 features six individual woman and each performs five minutes about their racial identity during the event. We are looking for video makers and video bloggers to team up with each woman to create videos and do interviews live. The event will take place at 111 Minna Gallery/bar as part of Show Some Color project supported by Southern Exposure.
During the event, a capture station will be setup to log footage or it may be uploaded after the event. Then, the videos recorded will receive viewers’ votes. The top voted video will be awarded $100. Final videos will also be shown on Access SF channel 29 in November and gain further exposure on the web. This event will be excellent for networking and connecting with other artists, producers, and a source of great talent for future projects. Also, it will unveil some excellent forms for all to use in getting speaker releases and for Creative Commons licensing content recorded at an event.
111 Minna is a bar and gallery, so you must be 21+ to participate. Drink tickets are available during the event.
